Industry Institution Interaction

Shri Vaishnav Polytechnic, Indore was established in the year 1962. Looking towards the fast growth requirements and need of the Industries, a Irainingand and Placement Officer post. was sanctioned in the year 1975. Shri G. Gurytnurthy was appointed as the first Training & Placement Officer in the institute. Prior to joining he was working as Principal of the Polytechnic at Harda (M.P.) In the year 1983 the post was advertised and Shri Shyam Joshi was-selected as Training & Placement Officer. Prior to joining on, the post, he had 18 years of experience with reputed Industries in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh even on senior positions like General Manager, Project Manager, Works Manager etc. The area of Industry - Institution - Interaction is a TEAM-WORK. All Heads of the Department or their nominees are evolved in this creative activity. The output of team work has resulted in effective and high percentage employment of pass outs, involvement of industries in institute's academic improvement and development of knowledge, skill and attitude of students in the institute.. Indore is the commercial capital of Madhya Pradesh. Large number of small and medium scale industries were established at Government developed Industrial Area. First at Polo ground and then at Fort-industrial area and Sanwer Road Industrial Area. The positive growth has resulted in development of sector wise small-industrial area at Nanda Nagar, Naulakha, Rao etc. The city has developed various. service-sector openings at Kibe compound, Daulatganj, Malharganj etc. Now Indore is prominently located on Industrial Map of the Country. In an orbit of 40 k.m. large industrial area of Dewas and Pithampur exists. Many a leading houses have their industrial set-up at Dewas, Indore and Pithampur. Shri Vaishnav Polytechnic is privileged by catering the needs of middle level management technical personnel to these Industries.
